How to Use the NFC Tools App

Write Info to Your NFC Chip in Minutes

Step 1: Download the App

  • Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)

  • Search for "NFC Tools" by Wakdev

  • Install and open the app

Step 2: Choose “Write”

  • Tap the “Write” tab at the top of the screen

  • This is where you’ll add the action you want the chip to perform

Step 3: Add a Record

  • Tap “Add a record”

  • Choose the type of info you want to store (e.g., URL, text, contact, Wi-Fi, etc.)

Examples:

  • Website: Enter your full URL (like https://yourportfolio.com)

  • Text: Leave a short message or contact info

  • Contact Card: Add name, phone, email, etc.

  • Wi-Fi: Set up quick access for guests

Step 4: Write to the Chip

  • After adding your record, tap “Write”

  • Hold your NFC tag or keychain near the back of your phone

  • You’ll get a confirmation message when it’s successful

Step 5 (Optional): Test It

  • Lock your phone, then tap the NFC chip again

  • Your action (like opening a website) should trigger automatically

Tips:

  • Most Android phones support NFC. iPhones 7 and up can read NFC, but only iPhones XS and newer can write to them.

  • Make sure your NFC is turned on in settings.

  • NFC tags can be rewritten unless you choose to lock them permanently.
